Anchoring Script for Kindergarten and Elementary School Result Day

1) Anchoring Script for Elementary School Result Day (Grades 1–5)

At the end of every term or year, schools and kindergartens arrange and host a function for result day. This is a significant day for all the students, the faculty members, and the school itself. Here are two example scripts to help guide you through the day.

Event: Result Day & Awards Ceremony
Hosts: Host 1 (Teacher/MC) + Host 2 (Student MC)
Placeholders: Replace items in [brackets].

Opening (Before starting)

Host 1: Good [morning/afternoon/evening] everyone. Kindly take your seats. Please keep your phones on silent.
Host 2: Welcome to [School Name]. Today is our Result Day and Awards Ceremony.

Welcome

Host 1: Respected Principal [Principal Name], honoured guests [Guest Names], dear parents, and my lovely students—thank you for being here.
Host 2: Today is special because we are here to recognise hard work, progress, and good habits—not only marks.

Brief Agenda

Host 1: Here is today’s program:

  1. Welcome and opening
  2. Address by the Principal
  3. Result announcement (class-wise)
  4. Awards and certificates
  5. Student speeches
  6. Vote of thanks and closing
    Host 2: We request everyone to clap for all children, because every child has tried.

(Optional) Prayer / National Anthem

Host 1: To begin, let us have [a short prayer / the national anthem]. Please stand.
(Anthem/prayer happens.)
Host 2: Thank you. Please be seated.

Inviting the Principal

Host 1: Now, we invite our respected Principal [Principal Name] to share a few words and officially begin the Result Day program.
(Principal comes to the stage.)
Host 2: A big round of applause, please.

(Principal’s address ends.)

Transition to Results

Host 1: Thank you, [Principal Name], for your guidance and encouragement.
Host 2: Now comes the moment we all waited for—the result and certificate distribution.

Result Announcement (Class-wise)

Host 1: We will announce results class by class. When you hear your name, please walk to the stage calmly, receive your certificate, and return to your seat.
Host 2: We begin with Grade 1.

Host 1: We request [Grade 1 Class Teacher Name] to please come to the stage.
(Teacher comes.)
Host 2: Parents of Grade 1, please clap for our young learners.

Host 1: The following students will be recognised for Excellent Performance:

  • [Student Name]

    (Call names slowly. Give time for each child.)

Host 2: Now, the Most Improved awards for Grade 1:

Host 1: Thank you, Grade 1. Next, we invite Grade 2 teacher [Name].

Repeat the same pattern for Grades 2, 3, 4, 5.

Special Awards (Optional but common)

Host 2: Now we have a few special awards:

  • Best Reader: [Name]
    Host 1: Congratulations. Please keep clapping—recognition builds confidence.

Student Remarks

Host 1: We will now hear a short message from our students.

Acknowledging Teachers and Parents

Host 1: We thank our teachers for planning, teaching, and guiding every child. And we thank parents for daily care and encouragement at home.

Vote of Thanks

Host 1: Now we invite [Vice Principal/Coordinator Name] for the vote of thanks.
(Vote of thanks happens.)
Host 2: Thank you.

Closing

Host 1: Dear students, today’s result is not the end. It is feedback. Keep learning.
Host 2: Congratulations to all students—award winners and everyone who tried.
Host 1: Thank you all for joining [School Name]. Have a wonderful [day/evening].
Host 2: The program is now concluded.


2) Anchoring Script for Kindergarten Result/Progress Day (KG)

Event: Progress Day & Star Awards (Kindergarten)
Hosts: Host 1 (KG Teacher) + Host 2 (Teacher/Student Helper OR Puppet Voice)
Style: Short sentences. Slow pace. More smiles. More claps.

Opening (Kids-friendly)

Host 1: Good [morning/afternoon] everyone—parents, teachers, and our little stars. Welcome to [School Name].
Host 2: Today is our Kindergarten Progress Day. We will clap, smile, and celebrate learning.

Simple Rules

Host 1: Parents, please keep phones on silent.
Host 2: Children, please sit with your class. When we call your name, walk like a quiet line.

Warm Welcome

Host 1: Our children learned many things this term: letters, numbers, colours, sharing, and speaking politely.
Host 2: Today we will give stars and certificates to make them feel proud.

(Optional) Short Prayer / Welcome Song

Host 1: Let’s start with a short welcome song.
Host 2: Everyone, please join with claps.
(Play/lead a 30–40 second welcome song.)

Invite the Principal (Short)

Host 1: Now we invite our respected Principal [Principal Name] for a short message.
(Principal speaks briefly.)
Host 2: Thank you, [Principal Name].

Certificate Time (Keep it simple)

Host 1: Now it is certificate time.
Host 2: When we call your name: walk, smile, take your certificate, and wave.

Nursery / Pre-KG (if applicable)

Host 1: We invite Nursery/Pre-KG class teacher [Name] to the stage.
Host 2: Nursery children, are you ready?
(Kids respond: “Yes!”)
Host 1: Great. Here are our Nursery stars:

Closing
